Some of our services across the UK are taking part in the Tesco's Bags for Help initiative — to help create accessible gardens!

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge on single-use carrier bags.

Kenmore resident Andrew with volunteersOur Kenmore service, in West Yorkshire, are looking to revamp their garden in their ‘Cheshire Garden’ project.

Money raised will go towards accessible garden furniture and creating raised flower beds so the residents can enjoy table-top gardening!

Five services in Fife are also getting involved with the Bags to Help scheme are teaming up for their ‘Green Hands’ project.

The project is aiming to make their communal garden more accessible and create a horticultural therapy and learning area.

Vote now in selected stores until the end of June for our two projects to have a chance of winning up to £4,000 each!

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 — all raised from the 5p bag levy — being awarded to local community projects.

Greenspace Scotland is working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.
