Tri Together taster session proves a success!
1 April 2014
Saturday 22 March saw 26 people attend our first Tri Together taster session of 2014 at Crystal Palace, London.
These taster sessions are perfect for those new to triathlon or thinking about taking part in Tri Together. Everyone gets to receive some one-to-one advice and gets the chance to try out the swim, cycle and run route ahead of the event.
Audrey Livingston, a sports health and fitness coach and a British Triathlon Federation referee, provided some overall triathlon advice and guidance on training, technique and transition. Jim Kirkland and Swim for Tri coaches led on the swim training sessions.
Jules Thur, a Tri Together participant in 2013, said:
‘I found the day very useful. Thanks to you and the coaches for organising. Although I did the triathlon last year, it helped to go over everything again.
Thanks to Quest 88 there was also an opportunity to try out sports wheelchairs and alternative cycles such as recumbent trikes, hand-cycles and tandem bicycles.
Triathlon tasters are free but do require a deposit of £5. Payments will only be taken if you register and do not attend. Please note you will need to bring your own bike.
