Michael Caines throws his support behind Give & Bake!
22 July 2015
Great news for fans of baking and raising money for us! TV chef Michael Caines MBE is backing to our Give & Bake events!
Give & Bake is about bringing together friends, family and work colleagues for a cup of tea and a slice of cake in exchange for a donation. Whether it’s a tea party at home, cakes for the office or a traditional bake sale at school, the money raised will make a positive difference to the lives of disabled people across the UK.
Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines lost his right arm in a car accident in 1994 after becoming Head Chef at Gidleigh Park in Devon.
‘Most of us bake for the pure pleasure of eating and sharing those treats with our nearest and dearest, but you can spread the joy even further by making your next bake for Give & Bake.
‘Disability can affect anyone at any time of life, and when it does, the future can be uncertain. It is reassuring to know that charities like Leonard Cheshire Disability are there to support disabled people to overcome challenges, and live the lives they choose.’
It’s really easy to get involved! You can register on our Give & Bake page or call 020 3242 0264.
