A team of of 33 runners representing Howdens Joinery, the company which provides accessible kitchens to our care homes, is aiming to raise £10,000 for us this Sunday in the Great North Run.

Howdens have been supporting our work over the past 11 years, transforming the lives of thousands of disabled people across the UK.

Howdens Joinery Co. - Making space more valuableNot only do they provide accessible kitchens in our homes to give disabled people greater independence, they also support young disabled adults through funding our Can Do volunteering programme.

They have also contributed towards creating opportunities for residents to learn new skills and to participate in community life.

In total, 78 runners are raising money for our charity through the Great North Run this year — the biggest team we have ever had at one of the country’s most popular half marathons.

We support more than 7,000 people with often very complex disabilities every year and rely on such generosity to continue help them reach their full potential.
