A warm welcome to Llanhennock Lodge
We provide support and nursing care for physically disabled adults in a friendly and safe home. Our team is fully trained and we’re regulated by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW).
You’ll find us in a peaceful rural setting on the outskirts of Caerleon, in South Wales. We are only a short distance from Newport, which has a range of local amenities including shops, pubs, a library, leisure centre and garden centre. There are also plenty of places to visit nearby including the Brecon Beacons, the Usk and Wye Valleys, and the South Wales coast.
Facilities for you
Llanhennock Lodge is detached house with lots of character and great views of the local countryside. There’s always room for you to welcome your family and friends or get together with other residents.
Our facilities include:
- 34 bedrooms
- hydrotherapy pool
- activities room with computer facilities
- accessible kitchen
- landscaped garden with a patio and wheelchair access
- art and music therapy facilities
We make sure mealtimes can be enjoyed by everyone. Our menus are planned by our residents and staff, and special diets are always catered for by our chef.
The home offers a range of activities for residents, including cooking, arts and crafts, music and movement therapy, woodwork and gardening. We arrange events at the home such as summer fetes, bonfire nights and St David’s day celebrations. We also organise trips out to local places of interest.
Group activities aren’t for everyone and you might just want to do things on your own. If so, we can help. If you need support, one option is to find a volunteer to come along with you.
Whatever activities you’d like to do, you can always talk to one of our team about the different choices available to you.
‘I love reading. I like reading about architecture and railways, and anything by Stephen King. The staff have arranged for me to get books delivered from the local library. I also love socialising and talking to people – I’ll talk to anybody about anything!
‘Being around people is really important to me, and the people here are marvellous. Since I arrived it’s been all arms open. I’ve got everything I want here.’
